Built in 1830 this elegant town house in the conservation area in Rye, is under 500 yards from the historic Landgate Arch, through which one had to pass at high tide in order to reach the mainland when Rye was an island. Accommodation is provided over three floors and the garden faces the town Salts, originally salt marshes and now home to the town cricket pitch, pull up your deckchair and enjoy a quintessentially English summer pastime. A house for all seasons, winter offers the opportunity to light the wood burner and relax. The autumn hails the bonfire season in 1066 country, where many towns and villages including Rye celebrate on different weekends with processions, bonfires and of course firework displays.
